Tamagoyaki base 150ml
Tamagoyaki base
Shokunin Shoyu No. 3033
For those who like sweet tamagoyaki
The first time I used this tamagoyaki base was when I was preparing for a hand-rolled sushi party with a friend. My friend said "tamagoyaki has to be sweet!", so I made it to suit her preference, even though I prefer salty tamagoyaki, and she praised it highly. Personally, I think it's better to eat it salty when eating it with rice, but when I tried it as a snack, it was indeed sweet and delicious! Sometimes it's good to try a seasoning that's different from your preference.
No dashi stock included
This is a base for tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) made with raw sugar and white tamari, and does not contain any dashi. If you like sweet rolled omelets, you can add dashi, but it seems that many customers prefer tamagoyaki made with this alone, without adding dashi. "It gives the tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) an indispensable taste in bento lunches a consistent flavor, so I'd be in trouble if I ran out," says a regular customer.
As instructed on the label, adding 1 tablespoon for every 2 eggs will result in a fairly sweet finish. If you are trying it for the first time, you may want to start with a smaller amount than instructed.
*If you like unsweetened rolled eggs, we recommend this → Mikawa Shirodashi 400ml
Nitto Brewery (Hekinan City, Aichi Prefecture)
Hekinan City, Aichi Prefecture. There are only a few breweries in Japan that produce white soy sauce, which is made primarily from wheat. In search of high-quality water, we arrived at Asuke Brewery. A closed school building has been turned into a storehouse, with rows of wooden barrels.
