The stewed carrots turn a beautiful red color

"This has helped me move away from brown omelets. With a little sugar and soy sauce, I can make a soft omelet. It looks elegant even in my lunch box."

Ingredients: Wheat (domestic), salt, shochu

Shokunin Shoyu No. 5073

The only ingredients are wheat, salt, and shochu. By using no soybeans and using half the amount of water for preparation, this product is the ultimate in white soy sauce flavor. Because it does not contain soybeans, it cannot be defined as soy sauce and is instead described as a "wheat fermented seasoning." It is characterized by its clear amber color and gentle aroma. While it does not have the typical "soy sauce-like" flavor, it is almost like a delicious saltwater full of umami, adding richness and sweetness to egg dishes for a more elevated flavor.

Its clear amber color and gentle sweetness beautifully enhance the yellow color of eggs. Just adding a little bit, just under 1 teaspoon (the equivalent of 2 eggs), to omelets will add depth and richness, and a gentle sweetness will spread throughout the dish.
Adding a little sweet sake (amazake) will make it even fluffier. Of course, you can also combine it with dashi. It will give your sweet omelet in your bento a unique flavor.
