A sticky texture with a soft, fragrant, crisp aroma. This soy sauce was carefully selected as "the perfect soy sauce for natto!" and is crafted with an exquisite balance that doesn't overpower the flavor of the natto, but rather enhances it. It is made by Yugeta Soy Sauce in Saitama Prefecture. The fourth-generation owner, Yugeta Yoichi, is known for his extraordinary passion for using domestic ingredients and brewing in wooden barrels. It is also highly sought after by commercial businesses such as ramen restaurants, and the fragrant aroma of soybeans and wheat fills the air within the brewery grounds, where rows of wooden barrels line the rows of fermenting soy sauce.

The soy sauce is a strong, dark type, but with a mild saltiness and an excellent balance of aroma and sweetness. Made with domestically grown whole soybeans and carefully aged, it blends well with the fermented aroma of natto. Large-grain natto in particular allows you to easily taste the soybean itself. We recommend pairing large-grain natto with this soy sauce. Of course, it's great on its own, but it also pairs wonderfully with eggs and green onions.
