Sesame sauce 350ml
Sesame sauce
Shokunin Shoyu No. 3042
Must-have fridge favorites
It is no exaggeration to say that this sesame sauce is my favorite in the Shokunin Shoyu Pantry. I had never really found a sesame sauce that I was satisfied with, but this has become a must-have bottle in my refrigerator all year round.
The sesame flavor is very rich and mellow.
Each bottle of sesame sauce contains about 30,000 sesame seeds, making it incredibly rich! The main ingredients are sesame paste, sugar, and Taihei whole soy soy sauce. Instead of brewed vinegar or thickeners, apple cider vinegar and agar are used to create a rich, slightly sour finish. Garlic and sesame oil are also added, giving the sauce a deep flavor.
The possibilities are endless
Sesame sauce is a great dipping sauce for shabu-shabu and hot pot dishes, but it would be a waste to use it just for that. With just a little extra effort, the uses are endless. It goes well with a wide range of ingredients, including meat, vegetables, tofu, and noodles, so it can be used in a variety of dishes. If you have leftover sesame sauce and are at a loss as to what to do, please give it a try.
Add seasonings to customize the dish
[Sesame sauce + noodle soup] for udon, somen, and chilled Chinese noodles
If you're tired of regular noodle soup, try this. It goes well with any type of noodles. You can use it as a dipping sauce or a pouring sauce, depending on the ratio and thickness you like.
[Sesame sauce + chili oil] for a spicy bang bang chicken sauce
This is an easy and foolproof combination. If you boil the chicken the day before, you can have the dish ready in no time! If you have time, add some finely chopped green onions.
[Sesame sauce + mayonnaise] makes shrimp mayonnaise or a dipping sauce
As you can probably imagine, the sesame sauce and mayonnaise go perfectly together. Unlike sesame dressing, the mayonnaise is thicker, so it sticks well to the shrimp.
[Sesame sauce + oil] for dressing
When using it as a dressing, dilute it with a little oil and drizzle it around. You can also add vinegar to make it more refreshing depending on your mood. Daikon radish salad is especially recommended.
[Sesame sauce + ponzu sauce] makes a sauce for boiled dumplings
The rich flavor of sesame sauce is combined with the refreshing aroma of ponzu sauce, making this sauce a combination of the best of both worlds. I like to add a little more sesame sauce than the 1:1 ratio. We also use this for steamed vegetables at home.
[Sesame sauce + miso] to make simmered taro
I also use sesame sauce as a seasoning for simmered dishes. By using sesame sauce, you can easily bring out the rich flavor of sesame and miso! It can be used as both a side dish and a snack.
[Sesame sauce + garlic + pepper] makes ethnic-style yakitori
In reality, it is supposed to be marinated in many more seasonings and spices, but for enjoying it at home, sesame sauce is enough. It will taste even better if you apply more sauce while grilling.
